Today is Saturday, October 8th. We are one week into October and I am beginning to see a lot of changes outside. The first change I began to notice are the leaves changing colors. Watching them turn from green to red, yellow and orange make the trees look so very pretty!
If you take a drive with your mom, dad, grandma, grandpa or whomever the grownup is in your house, take some time to see all the wonderful colors in the trees!
With October comes Halloween and we always want to make sure that we stay safe. Stranger danger is very, very important to remember when you are out trick-or-treating. Always make sure that you are with a grown-up and never trick-or-treat alone.
When you are choosing a Halloween costume, make sure you use your super smarts and pick a costume that will make it fun to trick-or-treat but won't make it hard for you to see when you are walking around. Safety first!
Speaking of Halloween costumes, I have a special contest just for Halloween! Ask a grownup to take a picture of you in your Halloween costume and post it to my facebook page:
I'll look at all the pictures I receive and the very best Halloween costume will win a copy of my new book, Molly's Flower!
You have until October 31st to post your pictures so be sure to ask a grown-up for help and send me your pictures!
Remember, stay safe, be smart and as always,
Happy Reading!
Love,
Mrs. Fizzywiggle.
