Mrs. Fizzywiggle

Welcome!

Hello there! My name is Mrs. Fizzywiggle and I would like to thank you very much for coming! I hope you enjoy reading what I've posted so far. I just love to write things for you to read! Do you know what I especially love? When you tell me how much you enjoyed reading today! I've been writing little poems and stories for children since I was a young child. Do you know why? Because I loved to read books from my favorite author. Dr. Seuss!
I know that some of my writing is not as silly as his, but i'm sure that you will enjoy it just the same!
Please be sure to let me know what you think and Happy Reading!

Love,

Mrs. Fizzywiggle

A Note To Parents

Welcome to my Just for Kids blog!
Since my writing began at a very early age, I kept everything as it was written, ridiculous or not. I wanted the essence of the moment, age, and the progression through the years to be present to my readers, both children and parents.
Now that my children are grown and I have a grandchild, my writing has taken on a new meaning: Bring back to our children what they are losing - the written word. Stimulate their imaginations with words. Encourage them to create pictures in their minds of the characters I create as they travel on their
journeys. Jump in the book and take the journey with them.
The stories that I post on this site are what I like to call teasers or excerpts from my yet-to-be
published books. I am hoping that in the near future, I will be able to provide you with links to
purchase the complete stories so that you and your child/children can enjoy them many times.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Hello Readers!

It's been a while since I posted last and so many things have happened I just dont know where to start!

Remember I told you about my little grandson that was helping me write my next story? Well he got very, very sick in August and has been in the hospital. I am kind of like his mom since he came to live with me as a baby, so I stay at the hospital with him.

He was able to come home for a week so we went to a wonderful event called a "Pumpkin Festival" and Axel was able to see all kinds of neat things. Go to a little Halloween party, get some candy and March in parade. He even got a picture with Spiderman and some Power Rangers!

With Halloween right around the corner,  it's important to remember to make sure that while you have fun trick or treating,  you need to remember to stay safe! Axel and I use glow sticks so that the cars can see us at night and we always walk on the sidewalk. Be sure to stay with a grownup and remember to never agree to go trick or treating with someone you don't know. Always keep in mind the rules about stranger danger!
Letting grownups check your candy before you eat it is a safe idea too!

I'd love to see some of your costumes this year since we can't trick or treat.  Ask a grownup to take a picture of you and then go to my Facebook page and post your picture!!  I'll be checking every day to see all the wonderful costumes and I'll try to guess them so dont tell me who you are!

Have fun taking pictures,  have a safe and happy Halloween and as always,  Happy Reading!

Love,

Mrs. Fizzywiggle

On a magical isle in the midst of my dreams
Lives a magical creature of sorts,
One who can swing by his tail through the trees
As  he huffs and he puffs and he snorts.

He hops over rocks, jumps high in the air
Splashes and plays in the rain,
No matter what journey he happens upon
It turns into a wonderful game!

Hello Readers!

Did you like what you read?  That's what I'm working on next.  I'll give you a little hint - His name is Kaboo and he goes on the most wonderful adventures with his little friend Alex!

I have a little grandson who is helping me write my next story.  Each night before we go to bed, I tell him a story about an adventure with Kaboo and Alex.  Sometimes he tells me about an adventure that he would like to have and sometimes I tell him the adventure.  By the time we are done we have told a wonderful story!

Using your imagination is a most wonderful thing.  Anything can happen!  That's exactly what my grandson and I are doing, we are using our imaginations to tell a story to each other and each night Alex and Kaboo go on a different adventure or sometimes they continue on the same adventure as the night before.

Do you like to use your imagine to tell stories, draw or play a game with your friends?  Do you go on adventures?   I'd love to hear about some of your adventures!  Click on the "Write to me!" button and have a grownup help you tell me your story!  Be sure to tell me your name so that Kaboo can go on an adventure with you!

I can't wait to hear from each and every one of you.  Until then,

Happy Reading!

Love,

Mrs. Fizzywiggle

Happy Halloween!

Hello Readers!

Today is Saturday, October 8th.  We are one week into October and I am beginning to see a lot of changes outside.  The first change I began to notice are the leaves changing colors.  Watching them turn from green to red, yellow and orange make the trees look so very pretty!

If you take a drive with your mom, dad, grandma, grandpa or whomever the grownup is in your house, take some time to see all the wonderful colors in the trees!

With October comes Halloween and we always want to make sure that we stay safe. Stranger danger is very, very important to remember when you are out trick-or-treating.  Always make sure that you are with a grown-up and never trick-or-treat alone.

When you are choosing a Halloween costume, make sure you use your super smarts and pick a costume that will make it fun to trick-or-treat but won't make it hard for you to see when you are walking around.  Safety first!

Speaking of Halloween costumes, I have a special contest just for Halloween!  Ask a grownup to take a picture of you in your Halloween costume and post it to my facebook page:

I'll look at all the pictures I receive and the very best Halloween costume will win a copy of my new book, Molly's Flower!

You have until October 31st to post your pictures so be sure to ask a grown-up for help and send me your pictures!

Remember, stay safe, be smart and as always,

Happy Reading!

Love,

Mrs. Fizzywiggle.
