Mrs. Fizzywiggle

Welcome!

Hello there! My name is Mrs. Fizzywiggle and I would like to thank you very much for coming! I hope you enjoy reading what I've posted so far. I just love to write things for you to read! Do you know what I especially love? When you tell me how much you enjoyed reading today! I've been writing little poems and stories for children since I was a young child. Do you know why? Because I loved to read books from my favorite author. Dr. Seuss!
I know that some of my writing is not as silly as his, but i'm sure that you will enjoy it just the same!
Please be sure to let me know what you think and Happy Reading!

Love,

Mrs. Fizzywiggle

A Note To Parents

Welcome to my Just for Kids blog!
Since my writing began at a very early age, I kept everything as it was written, ridiculous or not. I wanted the essence of the moment, age, and the progression through the years to be present to my readers, both children and parents.
Now that my children are grown and I have a grandchild, my writing has taken on a new meaning: Bring back to our children what they are losing - the written word. Stimulate their imaginations with words. Encourage them to create pictures in their minds of the characters I create as they travel on their
journeys. Jump in the book and take the journey with them.
The stories that I post on this site are what I like to call teasers or excerpts from my yet-to-be
published books. I am hoping that in the near future, I will be able to provide you with links to
purchase the complete stories so that you and your child/children can enjoy them many times.

Holiday Wishes To All My Readers!

Well hello there readers!

I know I've been away for a very long time, but I am hoping that I will be able to write to you more often.  My readers are very, very important to me you know!

I hope everyone had a most wonderful Thanksgiving!  Well, all of my readers that celebrate the holiday. Do you know that not everyone celebrates the same holidays that you do?  I don't know all the different holidays but there are so many wonderful celebrations all throughout the year!

I celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family.  On Thanksgiving I make a juicy delicious turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and lets not forget the yummy cranberry sauce!  On Christmas, we usually don't have a big meal because we leave for vacation the next day and we cant take all the leftovers with us. We have a wonderful Christmas morning, spending time together, opening gifts and having a great day.

Some people don't celebrate Thanksgiving because they live in different countries.  Thanksgiving is an English/American holiday that started with the pilgrims that left England and came to live here in America.

Christmas is a holiday celebrated by Christians, honoring the birth of Jesus. Some people are part of different religions that believe in different things so they don't celebrate Christmas - it's called something else.  That would be a wonderful book to find at your local library to help you learn about all the different holidays! Perhaps you can write back to me ans share what you have learned!

Whether you celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas or any other holiday, always remember that there may be others who do not so you need to be very respectful of their holidays and beliefs. Just because they don't celebrate the same holidays that you do doesn't mean that their holidays are wrong. Remember that readers are curious and are always learning so don't be afraid to ask questions.

So the next time you are playing with your friends and are talking about Christmas, you may have some friends that tell you they don't celebrate Christmas.  It's ok to ask them "What do you celebrate?"  You may be surprised what you can learn!

So for now, I wish all of my readers a joyous holiday season no matter what you celebrate!

Happy Reading!

Love,

Mrs. Fizzywiggle
