Mrs. Fizzywiggle

Welcome!

Hello there! My name is Mrs. Fizzywiggle and I would like to thank you very much for coming! I hope you enjoy reading what I've posted so far. I just love to write things for you to read! Do you know what I especially love? When you tell me how much you enjoyed reading today! I've been writing little poems and stories for children since I was a young child. Do you know why? Because I loved to read books from my favorite author. Dr. Seuss!
I know that some of my writing is not as silly as his, but i'm sure that you will enjoy it just the same!
Please be sure to let me know what you think and Happy Reading!

Love,

Mrs. Fizzywiggle

A Note To Parents

Welcome to my Just for Kids blog!
Since my writing began at a very early age, I kept everything as it was written, ridiculous or not. I wanted the essence of the moment, age, and the progression through the years to be present to my readers, both children and parents.
Now that my children are grown and I have a grandchild, my writing has taken on a new meaning: Bring back to our children what they are losing - the written word. Stimulate their imaginations with words. Encourage them to create pictures in their minds of the characters I create as they travel on their
journeys. Jump in the book and take the journey with them.
The stories that I post on this site are what I like to call teasers or excerpts from my yet-to-be
published books. I am hoping that in the near future, I will be able to provide you with links to
purchase the complete stories so that you and your child/children can enjoy them many times.

Hello Readers!

Hello Readers!

It has been such a very long time since I have had the chance to write to you!  I missed all of you very much and I want to say I'm sorry for not checking in sooner!

Sometimes there are grownup things that need to be taken care of and because we are so much older, we forget that it is very, very important to keep in touch with people around you!

This summer has been absolutely wonderful!  Have you been having fun on your school vacation?  I didn't go away but I have enjoyed spending time with my six year old grandson after I get home from work.  We go to a dinner theater on Wednesday nights at the library which is really super fun!  We bring our dinner and watch a fabulous movie together!  On the weekends, we go back to the library to check out some books, bring them home and read together.  Reading is so much fun, especially when you can read to someone else!  Have you been doing any reading this summer?  I would love to hear all about the books you've read!

Oh yes!  I almost forgot to tell you about the summer reading program that my grandson (his name is Axel) is participating in.  The library (such a wonderful place, don't you agree?) gives out raffle tickets and prizes each time you read seven books!  What a wonderful way to encourage you to read while on vacation from school.  Not only do you get to enjoy lots of great books, but you also continue to improve your reading skills so that when you start school again in the fall, you will be reading better than you were before summer started.  Even if you are only a little bit better, that is a great accomplishment!

Before you know it you will be going back to school and there won't be time to swim and play outside like there is now.  You will need to start learning again and you may have homework too which is ok, but you will always have time to read.  When you to to the library at school, check out a book, find a comfy place to sit and read until its time to go back to your classroom.  When you get home, after all your schoolwork is completed, find some time to curl up with your favorite book instead of playing a video game or watching tv.

Whenever the time or wherever you are, it always important to find some time to read a book. Not only are the stories wonderful, you also stimulate your imagination and become a better reader!

Tata for now and Happy Reading!

Love,

Mrs. Fizzywiggle
