Mrs. Fizzywiggle

Welcome!

Hello there! My name is Mrs. Fizzywiggle and I would like to thank you very much for coming! I hope you enjoy reading what I've posted so far. I just love to write things for you to read! Do you know what I especially love? When you tell me how much you enjoyed reading today! I've been writing little poems and stories for children since I was a young child. Do you know why? Because I loved to read books from my favorite author. Dr. Seuss!
I know that some of my writing is not as silly as his, but i'm sure that you will enjoy it just the same!
Please be sure to let me know what you think and Happy Reading!

Love,

Mrs. Fizzywiggle

A Note To Parents

Welcome to my Just for Kids blog!
Since my writing began at a very early age, I kept everything as it was written, ridiculous or not. I wanted the essence of the moment, age, and the progression through the years to be present to my readers, both children and parents.
Now that my children are grown and I have a grandchild, my writing has taken on a new meaning: Bring back to our children what they are losing - the written word. Stimulate their imaginations with words. Encourage them to create pictures in their minds of the characters I create as they travel on their
journeys. Jump in the book and take the journey with them.
The stories that I post on this site are what I like to call teasers or excerpts from my yet-to-be
published books. I am hoping that in the near future, I will be able to provide you with links to
purchase the complete stories so that you and your child/children can enjoy them many times.

Cancer is a scary thing......but don't be scared of me!

Hello Readers!

How many of you know what cancer is?  Perhaps someone in your family has been very sick with cancer or may have even died because their cancer was very bad?  It's not a very good thing to have and it's even worse when one of your little friends has it.

My little boy has been battling cancer for two years.  His type of cancer is called Leukemia and this type is blood cancer.  Oh he is one of the mightiest and bravest warriors I know because he has fought so long and so hard to beat it.

We have not been able to get rid of the cancer all the way but he keeps getting medicine to keep it from getting worse.  Hopefully one day there will be a new medicine he can have that will get rid of it once and for all.

The reason I'm telling you this is because if you do have a friend with cancer, don't be afraid of them. I know it can be very scary to see them if they are hooked up to tubes for medicine, some have a tube in their nose that goes into their belly for medicine or food and most have no hair.  These are very normal things with cancer but there is one thing for sure that is not different......they are still the same friend!  Now more than ever they need you to be their friend because they won't be able to play like they used to and may spend a lot of time in the hospital.  Visiting them while they are in the hospital is a very good thing and will make them so happy to have someone to play with.  It can get very very lonely in a hospital room every day.

My little boy would get so very sad when he had no one to play with so he would get excited each time one of his friends came.  He is such a celebrity at school and in our town that he now has even more friends than he did before he got sick!

No matter what you go through or what your friends go through always remember one thing:  They are still the same friend you have always  had so treat them that way.  The tubes, the bald head, the bandages or anything else they may need to get better aren't scary things, they are things that will help them get better so you shouldn't feel weird, or scared to be around them.

Always remember that you are friends because of the kind of person they are and being sick doesn't make them different. Be a really good friend because being sick makes you sad but seeing your friends makes you feel so much better!

As always, Happy Reading!

Love,

Mrs. Fizzywiggle
